I bet you missed us!

As you may have noticed its been over a month since we have posted on here! Sadly with winter comes the slow season for tattoos so we had to chose what to cut out for a month and Internet was cut out of our budget! The media com man came over and disconnected our net :( it was a sad sad day... but since then we have been VERY busy with Christmas! The boys are doing wonderful and we had an awesome Christmas filled with food, gifts and of course all the love of family and friends! We even added to our family! We went to Grandma Kim and Grandpa Dennis's house on Christmas eve and we had been talking about wanting another kitty so Mr.S would have a play mate (he drives Israel nuts in the morning trying to play while hes getting ready for work) and while daddy was out in the garage at grandmas he noticed a cute little kitty and asked where she came from and we heard the story of her being a stray that wasn't claimed so of course Kim brought her home to give her a chance on the farm. So i went out to check her out and fell in love with her! So on Christmas eve we brought her home gave her a bath and she fit right in right away! Everyone loves her (but Mr. S YET .. hes still pretty mad that we got another kitty) We named her Sofie shes not full grown we don't think, but she isn't a kitten. She knows how to use the cat box THANK GOD! shes all different colors and has NO TAIL! we did some research and think she must be part Manx (a breed that is born without a tail)
After being spoiled at the Heintzs house on Christmas eve we went home and crashed and were up and at it the next day headed to Grandpa Rods for the day to be filled up with food and gifts again! So now we are trying to sort through gifts, boxes, left overs, and toys to bring some order to this house! haha

A Bitter Sweet Day

So today we got our first REAL now of the year and its beautiful and surprisingly its not that cold out! As much as i hate the snow here the first snow is always pretty.

Rio woke up feeling a little icky im not sure if hes actully sick or if hes because SOMEONE turned up the heat last night and we woke up to a 80 degree house! Rio was in long pants and sleeves so im not sure if he was hot from the heat or if he has a bug. After some breakfast and some motrin he seems a little better but not good enough for me to let him play in the snow :( so we are inside today.

some info i want to share with you

Lots of people ask us why Rio and Milo are still Rear Facing when the law says we can turn him around at 1 year and 20lbs. Well i have done lots and lots of research on car seat safety because as a parent we both want to make the best choice for our children and car accidents being the leading cause of death for children in the US made carseat safety a very serious matter for us! After doing a lot of research we agreed to keep our children rear facing until they reach the 35lbs weight limit of their seats because the risks of a neck injury is 75% less likely when rear facing! here are a few crash test videos to show you the difference

A few changes

if you didnt notice i changed our background today :) it is nice to change it up a bit.
I also added the game hangman to the side!! One other feature that is new is under each post there is a link that looks like an envelope that you can click to email that post to a friend or even yourself! Another cool thing i changed is that anyone can make a comment on a post! (before you had to be a blog member) you just click add comment and write something like "oh your boys are the cutest kids ive ever seen in my life!" (haha) and then i can see your comment and so can everyone else! This will give us some feed back on the blog and let us know your enjoying all of our updates!
