So tonight we had our first trip to the ER! Not nearly as exciting as i thought it would be. We had just gotten home from a visit to see Grandpa Rod and return some movies and Israel and I were both on the couch watching a movie and the boys were both running around playing back and forth from their room and the living room and we heard Milo fall down in the hallway (which we hear a 100 times a day) and we hear him hit the all and instantly he starts screaming. So i jumped up assuming he just bumped hes head and was tired so he was being over dramatic. I picked him up and bounced him a bit and told him he was fine and sat on the couch with him then I noticed his chin was bleeding so I told Israel to look at it and we wiped it off and sure enough he split it open about half an inch long maybe longer. It wasn't bleeding much but looked like it MIGHT need a stitch so we packed up in the car and off we went to the ER. Milo wasn't crying at all by the time we got there he was smiling and laughing. We got in pretty quick and the nurse checked him out and we sat and waited for 20 mins or so for a doctor to see him. The doctor said they see lots of split chins on his aged babies and his was not bad at all. So he said they would glue it then he took another look and said nope we wont even do that just some tight bandage strips and he should be fine. So the nurse cleaned it up and put some bandage strips on it (Milo held still wonderfully just smiling and talking to the nurse hes such a flirt!) and gave us an over view on cleaning it and that was that.
Now were are home and hes sound asleep on my lap. Earlier today he bumped his eye on the toy bin and i have to admit his eye almost looks worse then his chin cuz his eye brow is swollen! ... poor kid looks like he was in a fight! I will try to snap a pic of him tomorrow ... a good one for the baby book!
Im so glad hes ok and he didnt have to have stitches! My son has had to have stiches twice! Boys are just rough necks!! lol
